"How's the bag business going?" I get this question often so figured it was a blog-worthy subject. It's been an interesting endeavor to get NokHoo off the ground. Designing the bags, having them produced and starting the website was my first adventure. Even though I had experience with these things, it was still a massive undertaking. In a lot of ways it's been satisfying to see the designs come together into a product I can be proud of.
Now I'm at the selling stage (and negotiating the arrival of the rest of the bags, but that's another story). This uncharted territory feels like an exploration of the wild, wild West. Negotiating the world of online marketing, finding retailers and vying for media attention-these things are not in my usual bag of tricks. I'm constantly looking at what works and what's missing in order to make this a successful endeavor.
So to answer the question, "How's the bag business going?". It's going just fine. Sometimes exciting, sometimes frustrating but always interesting. And if anyone has any great marketing ideas, feel free to send them my way!
