Shiny Pants

pants, originally uploaded by nrillustration.

I'm always looking for interesting design ideas and ran across the San Fran based company called Cordaround. They only sell pants (and smoking jackets... naturally), producing a small quantity of each item selling it until it's gone, then they move on to the next concept. I love this idea!

My favorite product is their Bike to Work Pants. They're like regular khakis but the pockets and cuffs are lined with reflective material. So (look at the top photo) you roll up cuffs and turn out pockets to be a safer biker. Turn them back around (bottom photo) and you're a respectable corporate employee. Ingenious.

  1. This is so cool. REI should carry them.

  2. I know, I think it's brilliant!

  3. this is a really great idea. now they need to add an elastic velcro strap to keep the pant off the chain.
