I've been admiring the work of Latvian Artist Henrijs Preiss. His paintings draw on Russian and Italian symbolism and are meant to describe the modern urban landscape, "With their inscribed circles and radiating lines like spotlights raking deserted streets or gun shots in glass panes...".
