Occasionally, I'm forced to go into very nerdy game shops-the kind with 800 different kind of dice and little statuettes of dragons everywhere. This activity is made tolerable by the existence of the comic section.
On a recent trip I discovered Mouse Guard, a series written and illustrated by David Petersen. This comic has it all-adorable mice warriors riding rabbits and fighting owls, beautifully detailed drawings and quick-tempo adventure. Mouse Guard does a great job balancing scary drama with cute, fuzzy animals. Even if you aren't a comic fan, Mouse Guard is worth checking out.
I will be checking that out. Love the owl's wings.
