Steely Goodness

I looked up some of the artists from yesterday's door post and was fascinated by the work of Garrett Price. My favorite pieces are the ones that he etches on steel. About his inspiration he says this, "In desolate and forgotten man-made environments, I search for a visual history of marks left by humankind... There is a history of a violent collision in the scars on steel and concrete. I look to capture a compilation of elements that creates an accidental composition, weathered by the passing of time." Well said and well done.

  1. I like the slight abstraction and the way the coloring brings out the theme.
